Privacy Policy
Effective: October 7, 2026
1. Who We Are and Scope
Pixelmap Builder is operated and licensed by Julio Valdes Fernandez under the Pixelmap Builder brand ("Pixelmap Builder," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Pixelmap Builder application (the "App"), visit this website, contact us, or use related features.
2. Information the App May Process
No separate Pixelmap Builder account is required to use the App. Depending on the features you use, the information you provide, and the services enabled on your device, the App may process the following categories. Not every category is collected from every user.
- Contact information: such as an email address you provide for support, communications, or App functionality. Apple's current App Privacy disclosure classifies this information as potentially linked to you.
- User content: such as project information, files, attachments, messages, or other content you create or choose to provide. Apple's current App Privacy disclosure classifies other user content used for App functionality as potentially linked to you.
- Identifiers: such as a user identifier provided by Apple or an associated service when needed to provide, maintain, or restore App functionality or purchase entitlements. Apple's current App Privacy disclosure classifies a user ID as potentially linked to you.
- Usage data: such as product interactions used to understand performance and improve the App. Apple's current App Privacy disclosure classifies this usage data as not linked to your identity and used for analytics.
- Purchases: purchase identifiers, plan and expiration date from Apple, Google Play or Gumroad, used to unlock Premium (and, if you are signed in, to unlock it on your other devices).
Information may be provided directly by you, generated through your interaction with the App, or received from Apple and other services used to deliver a feature. The categories above are intended to remain consistent with the App's current disclosure on the Apple App Store.
3. Projects, Files, and Exports
Pixelmap Builder is designed to create and manage LED pixel-map projects. Project data may be stored on your device and used to provide the App's functionality. When you export, save, upload, or share a project or media file, the action is initiated by you. The file will then be handled by your device and any destination or service you select, under that service's privacy terms.
Cloud Projects and Your Account (optional)
Cloud Projects is optional and is not required to use the App. If you choose to use it, you create an account with an email address and a password. Your projects are stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, operated by Google LLC) so you can continue them on your other devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows and Android). For this we store your email address, an account identifier, and the content of the projects you upload.
If you are signed in and you have Premium, your Premium purchase is linked to your account so it also unlocks Premium on your other devices. For this we store a purchase identifier, the plan, and the expiration date that Apple, Google Play or Gumroad give us. We never receive your payment card details.
You can delete your account at any time from the App (SAVE tab › Cloud Projects › Delete Account). This permanently deletes your account, all of its cloud projects and its linked purchase records from our servers. You can also request deletion by emailing pixelmapbuilder@gmail.com. Step-by-step instructions: https://www.pixelmapbuilder.com/delete-account
4. How We Use Information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to provide and maintain App functionality; process or restore purchase entitlements; respond to support and business inquiries; understand product interactions and improve reliability; protect the App, website, users, and our rights; prevent misuse; and comply with legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may be necessary to perform a contract with you, comply with law, support our legitimate interests in operating and improving Pixelmap Builder, or occur with your consent. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Purchases (App Store, Google Play and Gumroad)
Apple processes App Store purchases on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Google processes Google Play purchases on Android. Gumroad processes purchases of license keys for Windows. Each of them handles billing, subscriptions, cancellations and refunds under its own terms and privacy policy. We never receive your full payment card details. We may receive transaction, subscription or license information from them as needed to unlock, maintain, restore, or (if you are signed in to Cloud Projects) share Premium across your devices.
6. Support and Communications
If you contact us by email or through a linked social platform, we may receive the information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, message, project details, and attachments. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, provide support, keep necessary records, and protect the service.
7. Website Hosting and Analytics
Our website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may process technical request information needed to deliver, secure, and operate the website.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate website usage. It may process the page visited, referring page, approximate location, browser, operating system, device type, and visit time. Vercel states that Web Analytics uses anonymized, aggregated data and does not use third-party cookies to identify visitors across websites. Learn more in Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation.
8. Instagram and External Links
The website displays the latest public @pixelmapbuilder posts using an embedded Instagram profile. The embed is loaded from Instagram when the website opens and updates automatically. When it loads, Meta or Instagram may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device details, the referring page, and interaction data, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. Review Instagram's Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
Other third-party links and services are governed by their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review them before providing information.
9. Sharing and Disclosure
We may share or allow processing of information with service providers used to operate Pixelmap Builder, including Apple for App distribution and purchases, Vercel for website hosting and analytics, email providers for communications; Google (Firebase) for optional Cloud Projects sign-in, storage and Premium verification; Google Play for Android distribution and purchases; Gumroad for Windows license purchases. Meta may process technical information when the embedded Instagram gallery loads or when you follow an Instagram link. These providers process information under their own terms and applicable agreements.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate misuse, protect rights and safety, or complete a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.
10. Retention and Deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including support, security, entitlement records, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the service involved. Data stored only on your device remains under your control and can generally be removed by deleting the relevant project, file, or App data. Third-party services retain information according to their own policies.
Cloud Projects data and linked purchase records are kept until you delete your account or your projects, or ask us to delete them. To delete your account, see https://www.pixelmapbuilder.com/delete-account
11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal information under our control, and to appeal or complain to a data-protection authority. You may also manage App Store subscriptions and privacy settings through Apple and control files stored on your device.
To make a privacy request, email us using the address below. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate relevant records. Certain information may be retained when required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, transaction, or recordkeeping purposes.
12. International Processing
Apple, Google, Gumroad, Vercel, Meta, email providers, and other service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, transfers are handled using safeguards recognized by applicable law and the provider's published terms.
13. Children's Privacy
Pixelmap Builder is a professional productivity tool and is not directed to children. An App Store age rating does not mean the App is designed to collect information from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child below the age at which parental consent is required in their location. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
14. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information under our control. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Pixelmap Builder, our practices, or legal requirements evolve. We will update the effective date above and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
